Everything But Sex

Everything But Sex is an hour-long comedy/drama that follows self-proclaimed platonic soulmates, Teddy and Jo, in two of the most tumultuous times of their lives: their early 20s and the beginning of middle school. Flashing between these two timelines, Teddy and Jo must decide if they want to fit in or if they’re brave enough to stick out.

Teddy and Jo are special friends. They were born six days apart and have been friends since six months old. This show simultaneously follows their middle school life in a rural Western Massachusetts town (where there’s a strange combination of conservative farmers, Subaru lesbians, and lesbian farmers) and their early 20’s in Brooklyn (where there’s a strange combination of gay men who love DND, beautiful lesbians with tattoos and evil landlords).

At 13, Jo was tall, awkward and shockingly blunt and Teddy was a total tomboy, still wearing her older brother's hand-me-downs. But, throughout middle and high school, Teddy got really good at fitting in and Jo didn’t.

At 22, Jo is an out and proud gay man who can’t wait to have New York City adventures and Teddy is a newly out bisexual woman who’s scared to break up with her high school boyfriend.

Through these two timelines, Teddy and Jo will discover what it’s like to lose yourself and (hopefully) how to find your way back.
