Kory Louko

Writer. Director. Comedian.

Kory Louko is a queer and disabled writer, director, and comedian. Raised in a community of farmers and Subaru lesbians, she writes absurd comedies about platonic love, queer family-building, and the dark, ridiculous existence of living with OCD.

Kory’s script The Adventures of Agent Panic was a Finalist in the Coronado Island Film Festival Script Competition and a Quarterfinalist in the Screencraft TV Pilot Competition. She most recently worked as the personal assistant to screenwriter and author Guinevere Turner. She also previously held a variety of on-set production positions in television and film, including on the Hulu comedy RAMY Season 3. Before that, Kory completed a 2-year fellowship focused on her writing and directing at the Athena Film Festival, where she also worked closely with creatives as a programmer and operations coordinator.

Kory has a BA in English with a concentration in Film Studies from Barnard College, Columbia University, and an MFA in Television and Screenwriting from Stephens College. Kory is a proud graduate of the WGA East’s Support Staff Basic Training Program on the Writers’ Assistant Track.
